Frequently asked questions about x-banners

What is the difference between an X-banner and an L-banner?

At the back, there is a cross-brace instead of a base on the floor, which means the system can be stored flat and weighs 0.414 kg, compared with 1.15 kg for an L-banner. The X-banner ranges from 60 x 160 cm to 80 x 200 cm, whilst the L-banner goes up to 100 x 200 cm. If you often take the banner with you, the X-banner is the lightest option.

Is there such a thing as a PVC-free X-banner?

Yes. As well as the frontlit fabric, there is a version in PVC-free Airtex with a textile-like finish. Both are listed in the ordering module, so you can compare the prices yourself before you place your order.

Can an X-banner be displayed outdoors?

It is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Outdoors, however, it is still a lightweight system weighing 0.414 kg, so choose a sheltered spot. For a message that really needs to be displayed outdoors, you’d be better off with a banner.

What sizes are available?

60 x 160 cm, 80 x 180 cm and 80 x 200 cm. The smallest size is the usual choice for next to a table or in a hallway.

How long does it take to set up?

About three minutes. The cross and the cloth come together in a soft carry bag that you can carry under your arm.

Can I order several X-banners with different images?

Yes. Each banner is printed separately, so ten retail outlets can have ten different messages on the same system.

When is it better to choose a roll-up banner?

If you want to store the banner rolled up between two trade fairs. It is no coincidence that the X-banner is called ‘Stay Flat’ in our module: the banner remains flat and fits flat into the bag, whereas a roll-up is housed in a cassette.

What is the largest size?

Eighty by 200 cm. It has been kept small on purpose, as the crossbar at the back does not provide sufficient support for a larger canvas.

When should I choose an X and when an L?

The X is lighter and cheaper, and stands against a wall. The L-banner has a base at the front, which makes it stand more securely on its own in the room. The X is sufficient for a counter or a corner.

What about the environmental aspect?

With frontlit, the ratio is 1 in 5. If you choose Airtex, the fabric is PVC-free and performs noticeably better. Ask about it if it’s mentioned in your specifications.

Description X-banners

Are you looking for X-banners that you can take to a trade fair or a client visit without needing a van? Creafor prints them in Lokeren and delivers them in a flexible carry bag. At the back, there’s a black powder-coated aluminium cross-frame instead of a floor stand; together they weigh 0.414 kg, less than half the weight of a l-banner weighs. It takes about three minutes to set up. The smallest size, 60 x 160 cm, fits next to a table or in a narrow space where a wider banner simply won’t fit. You can order the X-banner directly via our module, including a PVC-free version with a textile-like finish. If you’d prefer to roll the fabric up into a cassette rather than storing it flat, please take a look at the roll-up banner.
