Frequently asked questions about property signs

What is the difference between a ‘immobord’ and a ‘V-bord’?

A V-sign is the double-folded model that stands on the ground or against a building façade in the shape of an inverted V. This page is about the sign attached to the building itself, usually against or behind a window. If you are looking for the V-model, you will find it on our V-signs page.

So what exactly is a gallows board?

A gallows sign is hung from a pole secured to the ground with a ground spike in the garden, or from the façade. You should choose this model when there is no window or flat section of façade available to attach something to, for example, in the case of a house set back behind a hedge.

How do I hang a ‘For Sale’ sign in a window?

The flaps come fitted with double-sided tape as standard, so you can stick the sign directly onto the window. If you’d prefer suction cups or drill holes, we can arrange that for you. Please specify your preference when placing your order.

Can the sign light up at night?

Yes, we can fit property signs with LED lighting. Our project managers will work with you to assess what is required at the location where the sign is to be installed.

Should the flaps face inwards or outwards?

Either is possible. As standard, we finish the product with three crease lines and fold the outer flaps inwards or outwards. Please specify your preference when placing your order.

Can I have a custom shape made?

Yes. We can cut or mill the sign to the shape you provide, for example with a rounded top. Fluorescent or reflective colours are also available if the sign needs to be visible from a distance.

Do you put up the signs as well?

That’s possible. Creafor has its own installation team that delivers and fits the signs on site, even if this involves several premises in a single day. If you’d prefer to fit them yourself, we’ll deliver them to you as agreed.

Can I order small quantities as well?

Yes, from a certain quantity onwards, they are available in full colour, in the standard sizes. The one-, two- or three-colour versions are screen-printed and are available from 25 pieces upwards. In the ordering module, the V-signs are listed by size, along with the stickers that you will apply to them later.

Is a ‘immobord’ the same as a ‘V-bord’?

Yes. It is one and the same product: 4 mm corrugated polypropylene with three corrugation lines. We call it an ‘estate agent’s sign’ when it’s used by an estate agent’s, complete with the corresponding ‘sold’ and ‘let’ stickers, and a ‘V-sign’ when referring to its shape. This shape is equally suitable for an open house, a promotion or an announcement in a shop window.

Why corrugated polypropylene and not a standard sheet?

This is because the corrugated structure allows for crease lines to be formed, and that is what keeps the sign standing in a V-shape. A solid sheet would break along that line. Furthermore, the material is lightweight, PVC-free and reusable, so the same sign can be taken to the next premises after the sale.

How much does a property sign cost?

The V-signs are listed by size in our ordering module, alongside the stickers. You select your version, enter the quantity, and the price is displayed immediately. For a custom shape or an LED version, we will provide a bespoke quote.

What is the largest size?

100 by 140 cm when open, so 100 by 70 cm as it hangs on the façade. If you require a larger size, you will need to deviate from the standard sizes and we will cut it from a sheet, but in that case the V-fold will no longer be present.

Why use digital printing for small print runs and screen printing for large ones?

Digital printing is cost-effective for small runs and allows for full-colour printing. For large print runs, screen printing becomes cheaper per colour, as the set-up cost is incurred only once. This means you pay a fair price for each print run.

What do I put on it once the property has been sold?

A property sticker for ‘sold’ or ‘let’. It fits onto the sign that’s already there, so you don’t need to have a new sign made. These stickers are available in the ordering module.

How many times can I reuse the same plate?

As long as the flaps remain intact. In practice, a sign covers several buildings, and only the sticker showing the status is replaced. That is also why we have placed the stickers separately in the module.

What about the environmental aspect?

Corrugated polypropylene is PVC-free and is collected alongside polypropylene. In this case, its reuse carries greater weight than the sheet itself: one sign that lasts for five buildings is equivalent to four signs that do not need to be printed.

Description Immobiles

Are you looking for property signs for a house or commercial premises that are for sale or to let? Creafor prints them in-house in Lokeren, whether for a single property or a whole series. Such a sign must be legible from the pavement and must be removable after the sale without leaving any marks on the façade. That is why the flaps come fitted with double-sided tape as standard, so you can stick the sign directly onto a window without having to drill any holes. We print on 4 mm corrugated polypropylene, which is light enough to hang as it is and sturdy enough to reuse the sign on another property. This is the classic double-folded model, also known as a V-sign. If the sign is to be placed freestanding in the garden, please see gallows signs.

Materials for Immobiles

The V-board, the shape itself

A flat sign with three crease lines that you fold into a V shape. This allows it to stand upright without any additional support, or to be clamped onto a fence, a balustrade or a low wall. ‘Immobord’ and ‘V-bord’ are two names for this single product.

Corrugated polypropylene, 4 mm

Four millimetres is the thickness required for a sign to survive a sale and be reused at the next premises. Anything thinner will tear at the drill holes; anything thicker becomes unnecessarily heavy to transport. The corrugated structure also allows for the crease lines, as a solid sheet cannot be folded.

With a wooden V-frame or LED

A wooden structure for a sign standing freely in a front garden, where there is no building façade or fence. An LED light for a building on a busy street, where most passers-by walk past in the evening.

  • A flat to let, with the sign behind the living room window
  • A commercial property that is becoming vacant and is looking for a new tenant
  • A façade on which drilling is not permitted, so the sign is stuck to the window
  • A series of signs in a property agency’s corporate style, for the entire portfolio
