Frequently asked questions about reboard panels
What is Reboard?
Reboard is a sturdy panel made entirely of cardboard, with a cellular structure at its core. It is lightweight, remains flat and can be recycled as waste paper after use. We print directly onto it, on one or both sides.
Can the Reboard be left outside?
No. Reboard is an indoor material; cardboard and rain don’t mix. It’s ideal for a display in a shop, a trade fair stand or a life-size figure. If it needs to be used outdoors, we’ll work with you to find a sheet that’s designed for that purpose.
What thickness of Reboard should I use?
We stock white in 5, 10 and 16 mm, and brown in 10, 16 and 25 mm. 5 mm is for flat panels mounted against a wall, 10 mm for displays, and 16 mm if the panel is to be freestanding or used to make furniture.
How do I straighten a Reboard panel?
For a freestanding panel, we print double-sided on 16 mm material and supply cross-base stands. Simply slide the panel into the stands and it stands upright. If mounted against a wall, a frame or hanging system is sufficient. We also create closed corners using a V-cut.
What is the difference compared to forex?
Forex is a PVC sheet, whilst Reboard is cardboard. Reboard is PVC-free, achieves the highest EcoScore in our system and can be recycled with paper. Forex is available in thinner sheets and in a range of colours. For temporary indoor displays, Reboard is usually the better choice.
Can Reboard really be put in with the waste paper?
Yes, Reboard is made entirely of cardboard and can simply be disposed of with paper and cardboard. If you choose a protective laminate or edge tape, please let us know in advance, and we will discuss which finish will retain that property.
What is the largest size?
1600 by 3000 mm in a single piece. For a wall that needs to be wider, we place several panels side by side using the same system.
How much does it cost to print on Reboard?
That depends on the size, thickness and finish. Reboard is available in seven variants in our ordering module, where you can enter your own dimensions and see the price. For milling, V-cuts and furniture, we provide a bespoke quote.
What is the minimum number of items I can have printed on Reboard?
From one piece. For a series of panels for the same stand, the price per piece decreases, as the set-up only needs to be done once.
What is a V-cut and what is it used for?
We mill a V-shaped groove down to just below the top layer. This causes the sheet to fold along that line at a right angle, leaving no gap. In this way, a flat sheet becomes a cube, a counter or a plinth.
Can Reboard be milled into a specific shape?
Yes. A life-size figure, a silhouette or a logo is cut from the sheet in one piece, up to 1,600 by 3,000 mm.
What about the environmental aspects of Reboard?

Could you come and install the panels?
For an exhibition stand or shop display, our own team will come to your premises. For individual panels, we’ll supply the assembly materials so that you can put them up yourself.

If you need to set up a stand, a display or a shop layout within a few weeks and don’t want to be left with a mountain of rubbish afterwards, this is usually the simplest option. You simply lift the panels, set them up yourself, and after the final day of the trade fair, everything goes into the paper recycling. That saves you a return journey and the need for a skip. Reboard is made entirely of cardboard, earning it the highest eco-score in our range – 5 out of 5 – whilst remaining rigid enough to stand on its own. For the 16 mm version, you simply slot cross-feet underneath, so that a panel stands on the floor without any further construction. Using a V-cut, we fold tight corners, transforming a flat sheet into a cube, a display stand or printed furniture.
Whether you ask for ‘Beelite’, a ‘honeycomb panel’ or simply ‘honeycomb’, this is the sheet you’re referring to. We stick to ‘Reboard’, as that is the name commonly used in the industry, just as we refer to ‘Dibond’ and ‘Forex’ by their common names. Materials for Reboard panels
White Reboard, 5 to 16 mm
The standard choice. Five millimetres for a flat panel mounted against a wall, ten for a display, and sixteen when the panel is to stand free or be used to make furniture.
Brown Reboard, 10 to 25 mm
The same sheet in kraft brown, up to twenty-five millimetres thick. The brown colour of the substrate remains visible where there is no print, which suits a stand that is meant to look unfinished.
Finishing the edge
- Black or white edge tape along the cut edges
- Protective laminate in matt, satin or gloss finishes
- V-cut for tight corners, so that a flat sheet becomes a cube or a countertop
Cutting, milling and setting up
