The eco-score is our own assessment of the material’s environmental footprint, on a scale of 1 to 5. It says nothing about quality, and the material must be recycled under the right conditions. Several materials may be listed on this page. We list the material with the lowest environmental footprint, not an average.

Frequently asked questions about advertising columns

Can an advertising column be illuminated?

Yes. You can choose between an internal or external light source, or LED lighting. Letters and logos can be cut out so that the light shines through them precisely. An LED screen can also be integrated into the column.

Is the column indoors or outdoors?

Either is possible; both versions are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The main factors to consider for outdoor use are the surface and the location where the column will be placed. Please send us a photo of the location, and we’ll see straight away what you mean.

Who is installing the column?

Creafor carries out the installation itself, using its own team and its own aerial work platform, and will visit the site by appointment. Installation can be included in or excluded from the price, so you can also have the column installed by your own contractor.

What is the difference between this and a lightbox?

A lightbox is mounted on your façade or on a wall bracket and therefore follows the contours of your building. An advertising column stands freestanding on the ground, at the entrance or by the roadside, and is therefore visible even if your building is at the rear of the site.

How tall can a column like that get?

That depends on the panels. Each panel measures up to 2050 x 4050 mm or up to 2050 x 3050 mm, depending on the material. For a taller column, we’ll work with you to determine the best way to arrange the structure.

What about PVC and the Ecoscore?

The sheets used here have an Ecoscore of 1 to 2 and are not PVC-free. If you require a PVC-free solution, please state this in your enquiry, as we will then look for a different sheet material.

Can I work out the price myself?

There are currently no options available for advertising columns in the ordering module. The price depends on the height, the lighting and the installation, and is therefore calculated based on your specific situation.

What do you need from me to draw up a proposal?

A photo of the site is a good start. We’ll then come along to take measurements on site, so that there’s no confusion afterwards about the dimensions or exactly where the column will be positioned.

How much does an advertising column cost?

Advertising columns are not included in the ordering module, as the height, lighting and foundations vary from one project to another. Please provide the desired height and location, along with a photo, and we will calculate the cost for you.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Mounted on a column. For a business park with several tenants, we produce a series in the same design.

Do I need to apply for a licence?

Your local council will usually require this for a freestanding column on your own property, particularly if it is to be illuminated. Check with them in advance, as they are responsible for granting the planning permission. We will provide the dimensions and a visualisation if your application requires them.

Description Advertising columns

If a visitor drives down your street without seeing where they need to go, an advertising column at the entrance will sort that out. Advertising columns stand freestanding on the ground, separate from your façade, and that is precisely why they work on an industrial estate or along a road where the buildings are set back from the carriageway. Creafor supplies the metal frame, whilst the cladding and printing are carried out in-house. You can choose between a flat or a convex-curved column, with or without an internal or external light source, so that your name remains legible even in the evening. If you only want an illuminated frame against your façade, you’re better off with a light box. If you’re looking for something a bit lighter for indoors, such as in an entrance hall or a shop, then take a look at totemdisplays.

Are advertising columns planned?

Please provide us with the plan or the dimensions, and tell us what needs to be included. We will assess the best options from a technical and budgetary perspective, and draw up a proposal covering design, production and installation.

Materials for Advertising columns

Flat or convexly curved

Available in various colours. A curved column catches the light differently and looks more vibrant from a distance, whilst a flat column looks sleeker up close.

With light coming from inside or outside

Internal or external light source, or LED lighting. Letters or a logo are cut out so that the light shines through them, making the image appear to float in front of the façade rather than on it.

Even with an LED screen

It is possible to integrate a screen into the display stand for those who wish to change the message on a daily basis.
