Frequently asked questions about large stickers
How big can a large sticker be?
The width of a single sheet of film is the limit. Anything wider than that, we print in several strips which are then joined together. In terms of height or length, there are few practical limitations. Please let us know your dimensions, and we’ll tell you how many strips will be required.
Can you see the seams between the strips?
Up close, you can see the line where the two panels meet. From the distance at which such an image is normally viewed, it is barely noticeable. That is why we discuss in advance where the seam will be, so that it falls within an unobtrusive part of the image.
Will you be putting the sticker on as well?
Yes. We have our own installation team with our own aerial work platform, so even a sculpture on an upper floor or high up on a façade can be put in place. For large-scale pieces, this is usually the wisest choice, as installing a panel several metres long requires two pairs of hands and a bit of experience.
Can I stick a large sticker on myself?
That’s possible, but it requires more care than with a small sticker. If you’d like to do it yourself, choose ‘easy dot’ vinyl: the adhesive layer has small dots that allow air to escape, so you can still reposition the film whilst applying it.
How long does a large sticker last when used outdoors?
Monomer vinyl lasts for 2 years and is intended for flat, temporary applications. Polymer vinyl lasts for 5 years and can also be used on slightly curved surfaces. Easy Dot vinyl lasts for 1 year and is the best choice when the graphic needs to be removed.
Will the sticker come off later without leaving any marks?
Vinyl can be removed from glass. On a painted wall, ‘easy dot’ vinyl is the safer option, as it comes off without leaving any adhesive residue. If you let us know in advance how long the image is to remain in place, we will adjust the adhesive accordingly.
What’s the difference between these and wall stickers?
Wall stickers are used for interior decoration, usually on a painted wall, and are often cut to shape. A large sticker is a single, continuous image measuring several metres, which can also be applied to glass or outdoors; in such cases, the application and the placement of the seams are the real challenge.
Can I work out the price online?
We provide a bespoke quote for large stickers. The size, material, number of sheets and whether or not installation is required all contribute to the price, and this combination does not fit within a standard package.
What is the minimum order quantity?
From a certain quantity. With large stickers, it’s usually a single piece rather than a set, so the price is mainly based on the number of square metres.
Where do you place the seam?
Preferably along a line that is already there: a seam, a contour or an edge in the design itself. We avoid placing a seam right across the middle of a face or a logo, which is why we review the layout with you in advance.
What about the environmental aspect?
The vinyl films are made of PVC. If you’re dealing with a large indoor surface, Airtex is the PVC-free option available for that purpose.

If you want to cover a display case, a wall or the side of a building with a single image, the question is rarely which material to use, but rather how the image will interact with the surface. You can’t apply a sticker measuring several metres on your own: the film must hang level, any air must be removed, and as soon as the image is wider than the film, a seam is required. We agree in advance where that seam will be, so that it ends up in an unobtrusive part of the image and doesn’t cut right across a face or a logo. For a temporary display, 2-year monomer vinyl is sufficient; for something that will remain in place for longer, choose 5-year polymer vinyl. If it’s for indoor decoration on a painted wall, take a look at wall stickers. If you really want to apply it yourself, then a easy dot sticker the more forgiving path.

Polyvinyl chloride, 5 years
White or transparent; also suitable for slightly curved surfaces. The ideal choice when the image needs to last for years.
Easy Dot vinyl, 1 year
Repositionable and can be removed without leaving any adhesive residue. The adhesive dots prevent air bubbles from forming, which is particularly important when working on large surfaces.
