Frequently asked questions about price tags
What is the difference between a price tag and a wobbler?
A price tag is inserted between products or into a rack, and is therefore positioned amongst your goods. A wobbler hangs from a spring on the shelf and protrudes forwards. The price tag is associated with a single product, whilst the wobbler is associated with an entire section.
Is it OK to put a card like that next to food?
In that case, ask for the version with food-grade laminate. We apply this over the circuit board so that the card can be sanitised and used in a bar environment.
Are price tags resistant to moisture?
Yes, they are moisture-resistant and the colour remains vibrant for a long time. That is why they are widely used in refrigerated display cabinets and display cases, where condensation and cleaning water are inevitable.
How long do the colours stay bright?
We offer a long-term colour guarantee, but there is no set number of months specified. How long a card lasts depends on the film, the lighting in your shop and how often it is touched.
Can I have a custom design?
Price tags are made to measure. We cut them using an existing mould or have a new mould made if your design requires it.
Can they also be used outdoors?
The films are specified for indoor and outdoor use, so they can be used on a market stall or an outdoor display stand. Do bear in mind, however, that wind and rain will cause a poster to deteriorate more quickly than it would on an indoor counter.
Can I work out the price online?
Price tags are not available as a standard option in the ordering module, as their shape, material and quantity vary from customer to customer. Please send us your design and the required quantity, and we will calculate the cost for you.
What thicknesses are they available in?
In 500, 800, 1200 and 1800 µm, up to a size of 80 x 120 cm. A thin sheet is sufficient for cards that go into a holder, whilst a thicker one stays upright better when inserted loose into a product.
How much does a price tag holder cost?
Price tags are not included in the ordering module, as the price is determined by the shape and print run, and a new cap shape is calculated separately. Please let us know the quantity and the desired shape, and we will work out the price for you.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Once a die has been made, if a new die is required, it counts in full towards your print run, so a small run will be expensive per item.
What about the environmental aspect?
The polypropylene version is PVC-free and has an Ecoscore of 2 out of 5; the PVC film scores lower. For work involving electrical circuits, polypropylene is the better choice in any case.

That is what distinguishes a price tag from an ordinary label: it is placed amongst the goods, so it must be allowed to sit next to unpackaged food.
Polypropylene, PVC-free
Available in gloss or matt, in white, black, coloured or transparent, with an Ecoscore of 2 out of 5. Also available in PVC film, in the same finishes.
Four thicknesses
500, 800, 1,200 and 1,800 µm. Thicker for a sticker that needs to remain upright in a container; thinner for a card that slots into a holder.
