The film has been deliberately made brittle and is fixed with a permanent adhesive. If you pull at it, it will tear into shreds rather than coming away in one piece. If you still want to remove it completely, you’ll have to peel it off millimetre by millimetre, and you’ll be left with marks afterwards.
No. Make sure it’s dry and positioned correctly straight away, as you won’t be able to reposition it. So measure where it’s going to go first, especially if it’s an elongated shape.
In practice, breakaway vinyl is used on work equipment and machinery that is also used outdoors, but we do not have a material data sheet for safety vinyl in our records. We are therefore unable to specify a service life for outdoor use. Please let us know where the sticker will be applied and on what surface, and we will advise you whether this is the right choice.
Peel-off vinyl is designed to be peeled off, whilst a machine-grade sticker is designed to stay in place. If your label needs to withstand grease, water, cleaning products and UV light for years without being damaged, then a machine-grade sticker is the right choice.

Yes, full colour is possible, as is a design in one or a few solid colours. Text and logos can also be plotted and weeded, with an application sheet over them so that you can transfer everything in one go.
With peel-and-stick vinyl, customers usually apply it themselves; this typically involves small pieces on their own materials. For larger lettering installations on site, however, Creafor does have its own installation team.
Not with tear-away vinyl. The film needs to be able to tear, and a varnish or protective film holds the pieces together. If you do want a protective layer, then a different type of film is the better choice.

That is precisely the intention. On a hired compressor, a toolbox or the casing of a piece of equipment, such a sticker acts as a seal, a guarantee or an anti-theft mark. The backing material is a safety vinyl with permanent adhesive; the type we use for this is ORACAL 820. It is best to apply it dry, as it cannot be repositioned once applied. If your sticker needs to withstand grease, water and cleaning products rather than being tear-resistant, then you’re better off with our machine stickers.
