The EcoScore is our own assessment of the material’s environmental footprint, on a scale of 1 to 5. It says nothing about the quality, and the material must be recycled under the right conditions.

Frequently asked questions about crowd control barrier banners

Can a crowd barrier banner be hung outside?

Yes. The fabric is listed in our product data sheet as an outdoor banner and has a weather-resistant finish. Nadar is almost always displayed outdoors, and the material was chosen with that in mind.

How do I attach the fabric to the fence?

Using the rings in the edging, or with Velcro around the Nadar tubes. Velcro comes undone more quickly, which is handy if the barriers need to be moved during the event.

What size is a crowd barrier banner?

The ordering module lists the Nadar mesh as 2000 by 750 mm. This is the standard size for a Nadar fence. If your fences are a different size, please let us know the external dimensions.

Why is the fabric perforated?

Nadar stands freely on the ground and weighs very little. A dense fabric acts like a sail and can cause the fences to topple. The perforations allow the wind to pass through, so that less force is exerted on the fence.

What’s the difference between this and a Heras net?

It’s the situation, rather than the material itself. A Heras banner is hung on a fixed Heras fence around a building site or a site and remains in place, in larger standard sizes. A crowd control barrier banner is hung on Nadar barriers along a route and is designed to be put up and taken down quickly.

Can I use the same cloth more than once?

It’s designed for that purpose. Once you’ve finished, you roll it up and hang it up again for the next event. How many times you can do this depends on how carefully the canvas is taken down and put back up.

Can I also put signage on the banner?

Yes. As well as for advertising, crowd-control barrier banners are often used to guide visitors, featuring arrows, a venue name or an entrance number. Everything is printed in full colour, so text and images cost the same.

What is the minimum order quantity?

You can calculate the price in our ordering module for as few as one canvas, without having to create an account. If you order a series of the same image, we will print them all in a single run in Lokeren.

How much does a safety barrier cover cost?

In our ordering module, the crowd barrier banner is listed in the size 2000 by 750 mm; you can enter the quantity yourself and see the price straight away. For non-standard sizes, we will provide a bespoke quote.

How many sheets do I need?

One per fence, and in practice it’s mainly the length of the course that counts. Please let us know the number of fences, and we’ll work out the price for you. For a series of fences, the price per banner drops significantly.

What about the environmental aspect?

The PVC fabric scores 1 out of 5. When it comes to fabrics that are reused every season, reusability is more important than the choice of fabric, and in that case, Velcro is the smarter finish.

Description Drop gate canvas

If you position Nadar barriers along a route, around a stage or in front of an entrance, a crowd-control barrier banner instantly transforms those barriers into both an advertising medium and a signpost. Creafor prints them in the size 2000 by 750 mm, so that every banner fits onto a barrier without the need for measuring. As these are barriers that need to be moved, the most important thing is how quickly they can be attached and removed. You attach the banner using the eyelets in the edge or with Velcro, and after the event it rolls along to the next location. Because the Nadar barriers stand freestanding, we use 350-gram perforated fabric that allows the wind to pass through rather than catching it – the same principle as with the mesh banner. If the hoarding is to remain on the same building site for months on end, you’d be better off with the herascloth.
