Frequently asked questions about flag fabric

Can a flag be hung outside?

Yes, the polyester is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. How long a flag remains in good condition outdoors depends on its location and how much wind it is exposed to. We have not specified a fixed lifespan in months for this fabric.

Is the print visible on both sides?

The fabric is approximately 95 per cent translucent, so the image shows through on the reverse side, mirrored. This is rarely a problem for a logo or a solid colour. If the text needs to be the same on both sides, please discuss this with us in advance.

How big can the flag be?

The fabric width is up to 3 m. Two sizes are available in the ordering module: 1000 x 2000 mm and 1000 x 3000 mm. Please enquire about other sizes.

What’s the difference between this and a beach flag?

A beach flag is a complete system comprising its own flagpole and base, available in three shapes, and stands freely on the ground. The flag fabric is the fabric itself, used for a flag attached to an existing flagpole, on a building façade or held by supporters. See beach flags if you are looking for the complete system.

What is the difference compared to a kiosk flag?

A kiosk flag is a small flag with its own frame, designed to be displayed right outside a shop’s door. Choose a flag panel if you already have a flagpole and only need the fabric.

Will you be putting up the flagpoles?

Yes. We have masts available, and our own team installs them on site, including at height.

Does the fabric contain PVC?

No. The flag fabric is PVC-free polyester and has an Ecoscore of 2. The fabric can be recycled as part of the polyester stream.

Can I have it made into a tifo?

Yes, tifos for sporting events are one of the standard uses for this fabric. Its light weight is a factor here, as the fabric has to be carried by people.

How much does a printed flag cost?

Flag fabric is listed as an option in our ordering module, where you can enter your own dimensions and quantity and see the price straight away.

What is the minimum order quantity?

From a single unit. You usually order a row of poles at the entrance as a set, but a tifo can be ordered individually.

How long does a flag last when hung outside?

That depends mainly on the wind in that particular spot. A flag at an open entrance wears out more quickly than one against a building façade. Where there is a row of flagpoles, it is common practice to replace them each season.

Can I wash the flag myself?

A flag that has collected dust and exhaust fumes can be rinsed out gently. Rubbing and high temperatures will damage the print, so it’s best to avoid these.

What is the difference between this and a mesh fabric?

A flag hangs loosely and is meant to move, so its weight is a factor here. A mesh banner, on the other hand, hangs tautly in a frame or on a fence and is meant to move as little as possible.

Description Flagpole

Are you looking for flag fabric for a flag on your driveway, in the car park or on the front of your business premises? Creafor prints the fabric in Lokeren and turns it into the flag that hangs from your flagpole. We usually receive enquiries from businesses with a row of flagpoles at their entrance, from organisations that want a different design each season, and from supporters who unfurl a tifo above the stands before kick-off. The fabric is 110-gram polyester, light enough to unfurl even in a light breeze, and approximately 95 per cent translucent, so that the image on the reverse side shows through. If you don’t have a flagpole but would like a free-standing flag, then you’ve come to the right place beach flags, and for the small flag outside a shop at the kiosk flag. Flagpoles are available and our own team will install them on site.
