Road signs

Traffic signs along public roads are subject to legal requirements regarding their dimensions, colour, reflectivity and positioning, and they must be installed in consultation with the road authority. Creafor specialises in road signs on private property. If you would like a sign on or alongside a public road, please discuss your situation with us first, as different rules apply there than on your own property.

Yes. The standard print is full colour on reflective film, digitally printed. In addition, coloured reflective film is available for an extra-long service life. The corresponding reflectivity class is not specified in our product data, so please enquire about this if your project requires that figure.

This product is stated to have a lifespan of 5 years. Coloured reflective film is designed to last longer than standard printing. Exactly how much longer depends on the film and where the sign is located.

Yes. It is best to have a road sign installed by a professional, and Creafor has its own team for this. We mount the signs on a post or attach them to a Heras fence, as agreed, at your site.

A traffic sign regulates traffic: direction of travel, prohibitions, right of way. An information sign displays your own message, text or icon, such as a nameplate or a signpost on your premises. If you’re looking for the latter, the information signs page is the right one for you.

Our product specifications state that this product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Indoors, it is used in car parks, warehouses or logistics centres with internal traffic routes.

Please tell us what you want the sign to convey and where it will be placed. We’ll help you find a suitable icon, and our design team will prepare the file for printing. Every file is checked in advance for size, outline and bleed.

Traffic signs are not available as a standard option in the ordering module, as the sign size, the film and the mounting method vary from job to job. Please let us know how many signs you need and where they are to be installed, and we will work out the cost for you.

We use standard sign sizes, as these are recognised everywhere. If you’d like a larger sign with your own message on it, you’ll need to look at signage boards.

That depends on the type, and one of them is PVC-free. A road sign can last up to five years and is rarely replaced, so it works out well in terms of cost per year of use.

Yes. On your own premises, you’re free to choose, so we’ll include a symbol for your charging point, your weighbridge or your waste collection area. On public roads, however, it’s best to stick to the existing set, as drivers recognise them at a glance.
