Orders are placed via printvis.be, our own ordering system. There, you can calculate the price based on your chosen size and quantity. You create your own design using the editor within the system, so you do not need to provide a print-ready file.

Frequently asked questions about fabric walls

Which quality should I choose if there are lights behind the screen?

In that case, please choose the ‘blockout’ lightbox grade. This is designed for fabrics with a lamp or LED panel behind them. If you’re dealing with an existing lightbox, please check our lightbox page first, as it specifies which size you need to provide.

What is a tendon?

A silicone edge is a soft strip that is attached all the way round the fabric. You press this strip into the groove of an aluminium profile, after which the fabric is pulled taut. All three grades are finished in this way.

Will these canvases fit into my existing frames?

Usually, yes, as the cord is a standard fitting for aluminium fabric frames. When making your enquiry, please state the make or profile of your frame, or send a photo of the slot. The size of the slot determines whether it will fit.

Can these curtains be hung outside?

No, these canvases are for indoor use. Shops, exhibition halls, museums and offices are where they belong. For a façade or a fence, banners or signs are the right choice.

What is the difference between this and a zipper wall?

A zipper wall features a zip running around the fabric and comes with its own freestanding aluminium frame, designed for use as a trade fair stand or a backdrop. Fabric panels with a tensioning system are intended for frames that are hung on the wall or fitted into a lightbox.

How big can a canvas be?

The specification sheet states a width of up to 3 metres. We print to the exact dimensions of your frame. If your wall is wider than this, we will split the image across several canvases.

Are these fabrics PVC-free?

The standard 215-gram fabric and the blackback fabric are free from polyester and PVC, and can be recycled as polyester. For the blockout grade used in light boxes, it is best to enquire about the composition, as this differs.

Can I order multiple images for the same frame?

Yes, and that’s one of the reasons why people choose textiles. Fabrics are light and foldable, so you can keep two or three to hand and change them according to the season or a special offer.

What is the minimum order quantity?

From a wall. For a series in the same design – for example, one per branch – we include the quantity in our calculation.

What is the largest size?

The fabric is available in widths of up to 3 metres. For a wider wall, we place the frames side by side, so that the seam falls on the upright, where it is concealed.

What about the environmental aspect?

PVC-free polyester, Ecoscore 2 out of 5. The frame will last for years, so replacing the image only requires a new canvas and no structural work.

Description Textile walls

If you are ordering fabric panels for several walls or frames, the question is rarely about the frame and almost always about the fabric. Creafor keeps three grades in stock, and the difference lies in how each fabric interacts with light. The standard fabric is suitable for areas where it is illuminated by natural daylight or a spotlight. If there is lighting behind the fabric, such as in a lightbox or an LED frame, then you should choose the lightbox-grade fabric. If nothing behind the fabric is allowed to show through, then a blackback cloth with a black backing that completely blocks out the light. The three are interchangeable, as they are all finished with the same cord and fit the same profile. If you would like the fabric and frame in a single order, that combination is listed at textile canvas.
