Frequently asked questions about beach chair
Can I order just the fabric?
Yes. In our ordering module, you’ll find both the complete set and individual canvases. If you still have last year’s chairs, you only need to replace the printed part.
What is the frame made of?
The frame is made of plywood. It is PVC-free and can be recycled as wood, so the chair should not be disposed of as general waste after use.
Can the chair be left outside?
The chair is designed for outdoor use and the fabric is weather-resistant. It folds away, so as it has a wooden frame, it is advisable to store it in a dry place when it is not being used for a while.
Can I put a photo or a continuous image on it?
Yes, the fabric is printed in full colour. If you place several chairs side by side, you can also have a letter or part of an image printed on each chair.
Does Creafor make the beach chairs itself?
No. We arrange for them to be manufactured and printed, and deliver them ready to use. This means you deal with a single point of contact, and we check your file before it goes into production.
How long does the canvas last?
Our source does not give a figure for this, so we won’t mention one either. Sun, salt and rain all play a part in this. For those who replace the painting every year anyway, this is less important, as you’ll simply order a new canvas.
What’s the difference between this and a printed beanbag?
A beach chair folds up and stands upright, whilst a beanbag lies flat on the floor and takes up more space. The chair is better suited to a row of seating by the water, whilst the beanbag is better for a casual corner.
How do I submit my design?
A PDF with sufficient bleed and the text in outline font. Our design team will prepare the file for printing or create the design based on your brief.
What is the largest size?
The beach chair is a standard size, so the design follows the shape of the seat. If you’d like a continuous design across a row of chairs, please let us know in advance, and we’ll spread the design across the canvases.
What about the environmental aspect?
The frame is made of plywood, is PVC-free and can be recycled as wood. As you only need to replace the fabric when launching a new campaign, the frame will remain in use for years.

This second option is often overlooked but makes a big difference: the frame remains the same, whilst the design changes with each season or campaign. That’s why our ordering system offers two options: the complete set and the individual fabric cover. The frame is made of plywood, PVC-free and recyclable as wood, and the chair folds flat, so a set of chairs fits into a van and can be set up again in five minutes.
