The EcoScore is our own assessment of the material’s environmental footprint, on a scale of 1 to 5. It says nothing about the quality, and the material must be recycled under the right conditions.

No. The board is made of paper fibre and absorbs moisture. For outdoor use, choose Biprint, polystyrene or Dibond.
We print on 1, 2, 3 and 5 mm thicknesses. The largest format is 1600 x 3050 mm.
Yes. The board is made entirely of paper fibre and has no plastic coating, so it should be disposed of with paper and cardboard.
No. Corrugated board has a ribbed core between two sheets. Solidboard is solid throughout, which means the cut edge remains sealed and looks neat.
Yes. We can mill any shape from the sheet, including internal shapes and cut-outs.
Solidboard is not listed as a standard option in the ordering module. Please provide us with the dimensions, thickness and quantity, and we will work out the price for you.
From a record.
A sheet measures a maximum of 1,600 by 3,050 mm.
One and two millimetres for work that remains flat or is hung up; three millimetres for a display that stands upright; five millimetres if the sign has to support itself.
Solidboard is stiffer and has a tight-cut edge. EE-corrugated is lighter and cheaper, and folds better, so it is the best choice for a box or a display.
As a full-size PDF, with a 3 mm bleed all round, and the cutting line as a separate layer. For a cut-out or an internal shape, please include that line, as we mill exactly what is drawn.
It’s like cardboard: it absorbs moisture and then loses its rigidity. A display in a damp room won’t hold up, and there’s no point in putting it outside.
Solidboard is a solid white cardboard that we stock in four thicknesses. The sheet is made entirely of paper fibre, can be printed directly onto and is recycled as waste paper after use. For in-store displays intended to last a season, it is the lightest and cheapest rigid sheet in our range.
You should choose solidboard when the sign is to be kept indoors and when weight is a factor. A sign made from 3 mm solidboard weighs a fraction of the same sheet of forex, which makes a difference when hanging them up and when sending them to a number of shops. We mill the sheet to any shape, so a silhouette or a cut-out logo does not incur any extra material costs. The 5 mm thickness is for larger panels that need to remain self-supporting, whilst the 1 mm thickness is for inserts and for cards in a display.
Solidboard is not suitable for outdoor use. The paper fibre absorbs moisture, causing the board to warp and the print to peel off. Laminating does not solve this problem, as the edges remain exposed, and we therefore do not laminate this board. For a sign to be displayed outdoors, please consider biprint or to dibond. Also bear in mind the rigidity: solidboard is stiffer than EE wave but less stiff than reboard, so for spans of more than about one metre, a support is required at the rear.

Made entirely of paper fibre, with no corrugation in between. As a result, the sheet is equally strong throughout its entire thickness and the cut edge remains tight.
As there is no corrugation, a milled window or an internal mould remains just as clean as the outer edge.
