Does Ecoboard replace Forex?
It is suitable for 3 mm indoor applications. The rigidity and workability are similar, and the material is PVC-free.
Can Ecoboard be used outdoors?
No. For a PVC-free outdoor sign, choose Bubbleboard or Biprint.
What thickness and what size?
Ecoboard is available in 3 mm thickness, up to 1220 x 3050 mm.
How is Ecoboard collected?
Such as polypropylene, along with the other PVC-free plastic sheets.
How much does an Ecoboard panel cost?
Ecoboard is not listed as a standard option in the ordering module. Please provide us with the dimensions and quantity, and we will work out the price for you.
What is the minimum order quantity?

What is the largest size?
A sheet measures a maximum of 1220 by 3050 mm. That is narrower than most other sheets, so if you need a wide sign, you’d be better off looking at Forex or Dibond.
Do I need to adjust my file if I switch from Forex?
No. That’s exactly the point of this sheet. Same thickness, same milling method, so the file that worked on Forex will work on this one too.
What about the environmental aspect?
PVC-free, collected with polypropylene, Ecoscore 3 out of 5. Forex scores 1 out of 5, so that’s the benefit of making the switch.
How do I submit my file?
As a full-size PDF, with a 3 mm bleed all round, and the cut line as a separate layer. If the file was previously supplied on Forex, you may forward it as it is.
Why can’t Ecoboard be used outdoors?
The board absorbs moisture at the cut edges, and this becomes apparent after a season. This isn’t an issue indoors. If you’re using it outdoors, go for bubble board.
Description Ecoboard panels
Ecoboard is a 3 mm PVC-free sheet that we stock as a replacement for forex 3 mm. The rigidity is the same, the sheet is printed and milled in the same way, and the difference lies in the composition: no PVC, and it is collected as polypropylene rather than as PVC.
Ecoboard is intended for clients who exclude PVC. This is increasingly specified in the specifications of government bodies, hospitals or retail chains with their own environmental plans. Where you used to specify 3 mm Forex, you can now specify Ecoboard, without any changes to the shape, print design or installation. We mill the sheet on the same machine and to the same tolerances, so there is no need to amend an existing file.
Ecoboard is for indoor use only. If you’re looking for a PVC-free board that’s suitable for outdoor use, take a look at bubbleboard or to biprint. There is only one thickness available, 3 mm, so if you require 5 mm, please ask foam board or bubble board, and for 10 mm or more, please visit stadur sign or reboard . The sheet cannot be laminated.
