The EcoScore is our own assessment of the material’s environmental footprint, on a scale of 1 to 5. It says nothing about the quality, and the material must be recycled under the right conditions.
Yes. It is one of the few PVC-free sheets in our range that is suitable for outdoor use.
Bubbleboard is available in 5.7 mm thickness, up to 2050 x 3050 mm.
Bubbleboard has an air-cell core, is stiffer and can be used outdoors. Foamboard has a foam core, is softer and is for indoor use only.
No. For signage that will remain in place for years, Dibond remains the right choice.
Bubbleboard is not listed as a standard option in the ordering module, as the sizes vary considerably. Please provide us with the dimensions and the quantity, and we will work out the price for you.
From a single sheet. When producing a run of signs of the same size, we can fit more onto a single sheet, and this is reflected in the price per item.
A sheet measures a maximum of 2050 by 3050 mm. If the panel needs to be larger, we use adjoining sections and position the joint on a profile.
Because bubble board can be used outdoors, whereas foam board cannot. Indoors, foam board is lighter and cheaper; outdoors, there’s no point in using it.
The sheet is PVC-free and falls into the polypropylene category, with an Ecoscore of 3 out of 5. See the materials page for a comparison with the other sheets.
As a full-size PDF, with a 3 mm bleed all round. If the sign is to be milled, please include the cutting line as a separate layer in your file so that we know exactly where the milling tool should run.
Better than foam sheets, as the air cells allow the sheet to function without bulging. If you’re using a long board supported at two points, it’s best to space the fixings a little closer together.
Bubbleboard is a 5.7 mm PVC-free plastic sheet with a core of air cells. It is one of the few PVC-free sheets in our range that can be left outdoors. We print directly onto it and mill it to sizes of up to 2050 x 3050 mm.
Bubbleboard is the ideal board for projects that have two requirements: no PVC, yet suitable for outdoor use. This combination is common in open-air events, temporary signage on site, and campaigns by authorities that exclude PVC from their specifications. The air core makes the sheet lightweight for its thickness and gives it greater rigidity than foam board, which makes a difference when it comes to installation and transport.
Bubbleboard replaces dibond No. For permanent outdoor signage, the rigidity is too low and the service life too short. The sheet cannot be laminated, and it is available in only one thickness. If you require greater rigidity in a PVC-free sheet, please consider stadur sign for indoor use or for taking to reboard for structures.
Please provide us with the plan or the dimensions, and tell us what needs to be included. We will assess the best options from a technical and budgetary perspective, and draw up a proposal covering design, production and installation.

Between the two outer layers is a layer of hollow cells rather than solid foam. This keeps the panel light whilst ensuring it remains rigid enough to stand upright.
Of the PVC-free sheets, this is the only one that can be used outdoors without any reservations. It does not absorb moisture and does not warp in the rain.
