Frequently asked questions about ceiling pendants
Can ceiling lights also be hung outdoors?
Plexiglass is approved for outdoor use. Cardboard, Reboard and Forex are for indoor use. Please let us know in advance whether it is for a shop, a hall or an outdoor display, and we will choose the material accordingly.
How are they hung up?
This is easiest to do on a suspended ceiling. We supply the mounting materials and tailor them to suit your ceiling. A different type of ceiling is also possible; it simply requires a different fixing method.
Do you install them yourselves?
That’s possible. Most customers hang the hangers themselves. If it’s an entire shop or a ceiling that you can’t reach with a ladder, our own team will come to the premises with our own aerial work platform.
What material would you choose for a short-term campaign?
Cardboard. It’s lightweight, which is important when hanging from a ceiling, and it’s our preferred material for hangers. For items that need to hang for a long time or require greater rigidity, we opt for Forex or plexiglass.
How long does a ceiling light last?
There is no set timeframe for this. A cardboard sign is intended for a promotion or a season, whilst a plexiglass sign is for permanent display. If you let us know in advance how long it needs to stay up, we will choose the material accordingly.
What’s the difference between this and a wobbler?
A ceiling hanger is suspended above a rack or section and points the way from a distance. A wobbler is the small sign attached to a spring on the shelf itself, which moves with the shelf and draws attention to a single item. For the latter, look no further than the wobblers.
Can I have a custom shape cut?
Yes. Straight-cut or in a specific shape, for example following the outline of your logo or your product. We’ll include the cutting shape in the design and prepare your file for printing if required.
Can a pendant light stand out in a dark room?
This can be achieved using special inks. There are reflective, fluorescent and phosphorescent inks – the latter being ‘glow-in-the-dark’ – and there is also mirror ink.
How much does a ceiling light cost?
Ceiling hangers are not listed in the ordering module, as the price is determined by a combination of the material, the shape and the quantity required. Please let us know the quantity and the desired shape, and we will work out the price for you.
What is the minimum order quantity?
From a certain quantity. For a promotion involving a retail chain, it’s a batch order, and the price per hanger drops significantly.
How heavy can a pendant like that be?
That’s determined by your ceiling, not us. Check what the fixing points can support before you make your choice, as that’s the reason to go for foil or thin cardboard rather than Reboard.

As these signs hang above your customers’ heads, weight is a key consideration: we therefore prefer to make ceiling hangers from eco-friendly cardboard, and only opt for Forex or plexiglass when the shape needs to be stiffer or the sign needs to remain in place for longer. If you wish to draw attention to a single item on the shelf rather than the entire department, then a wobbler that’s better. Materials for Ceiling hangers
Light, because it’s suspended by a wire
Plastic film, display board from 1 to 2 mm thick, or thin Forex from 1 to 3 mm thick. The weight is the deciding factor here, as a shop ceiling cannot support everything.
Or sturdier, made from ReBoard or plexiglass
5–16 mm Reboard for a three-dimensional pendant, and 1–3 mm Plexiglas where a glossy finish is required.
