A wedding invitation, an opening or an anniversary invitation that really catches the eye the moment you hold it.
Presentation materials used to showcase a collection or a design to a client.
Small print runs in which the last copy is treated with just as much care as the first.
The eco-score is our own assessment of the material’s environmental footprint, on a scale of 1 to 5. It says nothing about quality, and the material must be recycled under the right conditions. Several materials may be listed on this page. We list the material with the lowest environmental footprint, not an average.

The weight and thickness. Macho board weighs 800 grams and is 1 or 2 mm thick, which means the edge appears as a flat surface rather than a line. That is why finishes such as coloured edges are possible here, but not on thin paper.
The side of the cardboard is given a colour – gold, silver or a standard colour. As the cardboard is thick, you can see that edge from the side. It’s the finish that stands out the most, without altering the design in any way.
Foil printing applies a thin layer of gold or silver to the card. Embossing creates a raised pattern without ink; you can see and feel the texture. Screen printing applies colour one at a time and is intended for larger print runs, or for colours that cannot be achieved digitally.
Maco silk in 170, 250 and 350 grams and uncoated offset paper in 300 grams, each available as single-sided or double-sided in full colour, and each available as straight-cut or die-cut. Maco board and other creative board types are available on request.
Yes. Right-hand cutting is possible, as is cutting or die-cutting to a specific shape. Please include your outline in the file, as this line will be checked during the file validation process, along with the dimensions and bleed.
No. The material data sheets specify that these types of cardboard are for indoor use only. If something needs to be hung up or placed outdoors, you’ll need to use one of the signage materials rather than cardboard.
The sheets themselves measure up to 70 x 100 cm for the ‘macho’ cardboard and up to 75 x 105 cm for the sulphate cardboard. You choose what to cut out of them, and that helps determine how many copies you can get from a single sheet.
Yes. Based on a clear briefing, the design team will produce the design and the print-ready file. If you supply the file yourself, your PDF will be checked for format, transparency flattening, outline paths and bleed.
Prices start from a certain amount per unit for a proof copy. Foil stamping and blind embossing do require a die, and this counts in full towards your print run, so for a small run this will have a noticeable impact on the price per unit.
70 by 100 cm in machine-made cardboard, 75 by 105 cm in sulphate cardboard. In practice, luxury printed matter tends to remain small, as the impact lies in the finish rather than the size.
The cardboard is PVC-free, and grey cardboard scores 5 out of 5. Please note: foil printing applies a metallic layer to the paper, which makes it more difficult to recycle. Blind embossing gives the same luxurious feel without that layer.
Whether you’re sending out an invitation to a wedding, an opening or an anniversary, the recipient will feel the difference even before they read it. That difference lies in the weight and the edge. Luxury printing at Creafor means heavyweight card: 800-gram ‘macho’ for those who want real sturdiness, ‘macho silk’ or uncoated offset where a more supple feel is preferred. Edge colouring applies gold, silver or a standard colour to the edge of the card; foil stamping and blind embossing add texture to the design; and die-cutting gives the piece its own unique shape rather than a plain rectangle. It remains a material for indoor use, to be held in the hand or placed on a table. If your collection needs to be sent to the customer in a box, then you’ve come to the right place at steel box better. If you’re taking a bottle with you as a gift, have a look at the printed wine boxes.

One or two millimetres thick, on a sheet measuring 70 by 100 cm. It is so thick that the cut itself becomes part of the design, and that’s where colour on the cut comes in handy.
Gold, silver and standard colours on the cut edge. Blind embossing creates a raised effect without ink, so you can feel the logo rather than see it.
Foil printing in gold or silver, colour-by-colour screen printing for larger print runs, and printing with varnish, bronze, gold, silver or fluorescent ink.
