The EcoScore is our own assessment of the material’s environmental footprint, on a scale of 1 to 5. It says nothing about the quality, and the material must be recycled under the right conditions.
This sign is intended for the duration of a campaign or a construction site, not for permanent signage. For long-term use, choose Dibond.
Yes. The sheet is PVC-free and is collected as polypropylene.
We print on 3.5, 4 and 8 mm thicknesses, up to 2050 x 3050 mm.
White and yellow. Everything else comes from the print.
No, we do not laminate Biprint. If you require protection against scratches, please consider Palboard or Dibond.
Biprint is not listed as a standard option in the ordering module. Please provide us with the dimensions, thickness and quantity, and we will work out the price for you.
Made from a single sheet. For a series of site signs of the same size, the price per sign drops rapidly, as the drill holes have already been set.
A sheet measures a maximum of 2050 by 3050 mm.
Eight mm as soon as the board is freestanding and catches the wind. The 3.5 and 4 mm versions are designed to be screwed onto a surface, as a stiffness rating of 2 out of 5 is insufficient to support itself when used in large formats.
PVC-free, made from polypropylene, with an Ecoscore of 3 out of 5. For an outdoor sign, that is the best score we can offer; see the materials page.
As a full-size PDF, with a 3 mm bleed all round. Place the cut line and the drill holes on separate layers, with the holes at least 25 mm from the edge; otherwise, the board will tear if it is exposed to wind.
It’s more than adequate for a construction site or ‘For Sale’ sign, and in practice it’s only used for one or a few seasons. The board doesn’t rot, but the print fades over time when exposed to direct sunlight.
Biprint is a PVC-free plastic sheet that can withstand all weathers. We stock it in 3.5, 4 and 8 mm thicknesses, in white and yellow. It is the material used for most election posters and construction site signs in this country: affordable, light enough to put up on your own, and able to withstand a winter outdoors.
Biprint is the right choice when a sign needs to be displayed outdoors, but not for years on end. A construction site sign, a signpost or a sign in a field is only needed for the duration of a single project, and in that case the sign doesn’t need to have the weight and cost of dibond to be used. The 8 mm version is for larger signs mounted on posts, whilst the 3.5 and 4 mm versions are for standard-sized signs. The sheet is PVC-free and is collected as polypropylene, which is often a consideration in public tenders.
Biprint is not a sign designed to last for years. For permanent outdoor signage, choose Dibond, which offers much greater rigidity and a longer service life. Biprint also cannot be laminated, so it is not the right material for a sign that will be subject to mechanical stress. Finally, bear in mind that the colours available are white and yellow: a coloured backing is not an option; the colour comes from the print.
Please provide us with the plan or the dimensions, and tell us what needs to be included. We will assess the best options from a technical and budgetary perspective, and draw up a proposal covering design, production and installation.

A plastic sheet that is suitable for outdoor use yet is PVC-free. That is why Biprint is so often specified in public sector contracts.
Yellow sheeting is the standard choice for site and warning signs, as the colour stands out even without any printing.
