Order a construction sign

You’ll be taken straight to the calculation module, where you can enter the size and quantity yourself and see the price straight away.

Orders are placed via printvis.be, our own ordering system. There, you can calculate the price based on your chosen size and quantity. You create your own design using the editor within the system, so you do not need to provide a print-ready file.

Frequently asked questions about building blocks

What is the difference between a construction sign and a site hoarding?

A construction sign announces the project: what is being built here, who is developing it, and from whom you can buy or rent. A site hoarding screens off the site itself or displays the names of the construction partners. In practice, both are located on the same site, but they serve different purposes.

Can a construction sign be left outside?

Yes, that’s what it’s for. Dibond is designed for long-term outdoor use and is therefore the safest choice for a sign that needs to last for the duration of an entire project. PVC foam board and hollow-core board are lighter and are the best choice if the sign only needs to last for part of the project.

How is a construction sign put up?

On soft or hard ground. On a derelict site, you can use stakes; against a wall or a fence, you can use a frame or drill holes. Send us a photo of the location, and we’ll be able to advise you on the most suitable fixing method for the size of the sign.

How big can the sign be?

A Dibond sheet is available in sizes up to 2050 x 4050 mm, and a PVC foam sheet up to 2050 x 3050 mm. If you require a wider surface, we will place several sheets side by side so that the visualisation continues seamlessly.

Can the information on the board be updated later?

The print is on the board, so anyone who changes the prices or the available tickets will need a new board. It’s therefore best to keep the details that change on a separate, smaller panel, so that you only need to replace that part.

I’m selling one property – do I need a ‘For Sale’ sign?

Usually not. For a single property that is for sale or to let, you should use the estate agent’s sign. A construction sign is intended for a development or a housing estate comprising several units, and is therefore larger in size.

Will you be putting up the construction sign?

That’s possible. We’ll come and measure the site and erect the sign as agreed; this is usually quickest when it’s a large sign on an unfinished site.

How much does a construction sign cost?

The construction sign is available in two versions in our ordering module. Simply enter your size and quantity to see the price straight away. If you require a different type of board, size or mounting method, we will calculate the price based on your specifications and the deadline by which the sign must be ready.

What is the minimum order quantity?

From a single sign. A building contractor working on several sites at once might order a whole batch of them, in which case the price per sign goes down.

What is the largest size?

Up to 2050 by 4050 mm in Dibond, up to 2050 by 3050 mm in Forex. A sign that needs to be read from the street rarely exceeds those dimensions.

Which type of decking should I choose for my garden?

If the building site is due to last longer than a year and the sign is to be displayed from day one, use Dibond. If it is a refurbishment lasting a few months, Forex is sufficient. If the sign is to be hung on a fence rather than mounted on posts, use hollow-core slabs.

What about the environmental aspect?

Dibond and Forex score 1 out of 5. The hollow-core slab version, however, is PVC-free and scores 3 out of 5; see the materials page.

Description Building sign

Would you like to advertise the upcoming development on the site itself, with a visualisation of the building and the contact details for interested parties to call? That’s a construction sign. It differs from the panels around the building site, as this sign is designed to promote the project: image quality and legibility from the road are the most important factors here. Creafor prints on 2, 3, 4 or 6 mm Dibond for a sign that needs to last the entire project, and on PVC foam board or hollow-core slabs when it only needs to last for one phase. The sign can be mounted on either a soft or hard surface, so it works just as well on a derelict site as it does against an existing wall. If you are screening off the construction site yourself, take a look at yard panels. If you are selling a single property, you’d be better off with immobiles.
