What is a lightbox?
A lightbox is a cabinet with a translucent front that is illuminated from within. This ensures that your name or message remains legible when it is dark, even after closing time.
Are the lights included?
Yes. Light boxes are fitted with LED lighting as standard.
What is the difference between a bespoke lightbox and a fabric frame?
We build bespoke light boxes entirely to suit your façade, with a front made of transparent or opal plexiglass in thicknesses of 3, 5 or 10 mm, which we mill to size and print on the front or back. A textile frame is a single-sided 55 mm aluminium frame, available in aluminium, white or black, into which you stretch a fabric panel.
Can I change the fabric on a textile frame myself?
Yes. The 175-gram fabric is finished with a silicone strip that you push into the slot in the frame. This allows you to change the image for each campaign without having to replace the frame. The fabric is available in widths of up to 3 metres.
What is the difference between transparent and opal plexiglass?
Opal is frosted glass. It diffuses the light evenly, so you cannot see the LEDs showing through it. Transparent plexiglass allows more light to pass through and is used when the image itself determines the colour.
Can a lightbox be hung outside?
A plexiglass lightbox is designed for the façade and is therefore intended for outdoor use. The fabric cover of the frame system is an indoor material, so you would place that frame in a showroom, a reception area or a shop.
Will you be installing the lightbox?
Yes. Our specialists will measure up and install the lightbox on site, including the connection. So you won’t receive a parcel with assembly instructions, but a lightbox that’s already hung up.
What is a lightbox used for?
For façade advertising above a shop, an office or a practice, and for totems along the street or at the entrance to an industrial estate.
How much does a lightbox cost?
The textile frames are listed in our ordering module, where you can enter your own dimensions and see the price straight away. A bespoke plexiglass lightbox is subject to a quotation, as the dimensions, lighting and installation all need to be taken into account.
What is the largest size?
A plexiglass sheet can be up to 2050 by 4050 mm, and a fabric panel up to 3 metres wide. For a larger façade unit, we use several panels side by side, with the seam resting on a profile.
Can I replace the fabric myself later on?
With a textile frame, you can – that’s exactly what it’s designed for. You simply pull the silicone strip out of the groove and stretch a new fabric panel over it. With a plexiglass lightbox, the image is embedded in the sheet, so you replace the sheet.
What about the environmental aspect?
The fabric is PVC-free polyester and should be disposed of with the polyester. Plexi isn’t PVC-free – it has an Ecoscore of 2 out of 5 – but it will last for years in a fixed cupboard.

Acrylic, 2 to 20 mm
Transparent, white or coloured, milled to size. Printing on the front or back. Sheet size up to 2050 by 3050 mm.
55 mm fabric frame
Single-sided, made of aluminium with a white or black profile. The fabric is 175-gram polyester, PVC-free, up to 3 metres wide, with a silicone strip all round.
With standard LED lighting
The lighting is all part of the package. Installation is carried out by our own team on site, as a lightbox needs to be connected and aligned.
Plexiglass or fabric
- Plexiglass for a built-in cupboard that will last for years, indoors and outdoors
- Fabric for a frame where you change the canvas yourself, and which stays indoors
- The fabric is PVC-free, but the plexiglass is not
