The eco-score is our own assessment of the material’s environmental footprint, on a scale of 1 to 5. It says nothing about quality, and the material must be recycled under the right conditions. Several materials may be listed on this page. We list the material with the lowest environmental footprint, not an average.

Frequently asked questions about framed banner

What is the difference between a framed banner and a freestanding banner?

With a freestanding banner, the fabric hangs directly from rings or a tunnel hem. In a frame, the fabric is stretched all the way round, so that it is taut and does not ripple. If you only want the fabric for a frame that is already in place, please see ‘frontlit banners’.

Can I replace the fabric myself later on?

Yes, and that’s usually the reason for choosing a frame. The frame stays in place and only the banner changes. We’ll also come and replace the banner ourselves when your campaign changes.

Which frames can I order?

The ordering module features 47 mm double-sided freestanding frames, made of aluminium, available in white or black. For façade fabrics, we use a weft frame. This is situated behind the fabric and is therefore not visible.

Is the fabric fire-retardant?

The standard 500-gram PVC fabric is self-extinguishing and complies with class B1 in accordance with DIN 4102. If the venue or the organiser requests a certificate to this effect, please specify this when placing your order.

Can a frame like that be used indoors as well?

Yes. The aluminium snap-fit profiles at the top and bottom and the tunnel hem with aluminium trim are designed for indoor use, as are the freestanding double-sided frames. For outdoor installation on a façade, we use an insert frame or tensioners in a tubular frame.

Can some lighting be fitted?

LED lighting is an option for a framed banner. This ensures that the banner remains visible even after sunset. Please let us know in your enquiry whether there is a power point near the frame.

What is the difference between this and a tendon bandage?

A mesh fabric is a textile fabric with a silicone mesh that is slid into a wall-mounted frame, usually indoors. This page is about the PVC fabric that is stretched across or around a frame, including on a façade.

Will you be fitting the frame?

Yes. Creafor carries out the installation using its own team and its own aerial work platform. We’re also happy to visit the site in advance to check whether your location is suitable and to assess the best way to secure the frame.

How much does a banner with a frame cost?

The banner is listed in our ordering module, where you can enter your own dimensions and quantity and see the price straight away. We provide a bespoke quote for blind frames, insert frames or lighting.

What is the largest size?

The PVC fabric is available in unlimited widths, whilst the textile fabric is available up to 3 metres. In practice, the frame sets the limit, as it must be able to withstand the tension.

What about the environmental aspect?

Frontlit scores 1 out of 5. If the banner is to be hung indoors, a textile banner is the PVC-free option that fits into the same type of frame.

Description Banner with frame

If you regularly display different messages on your façade or above your shop front, a framed banner is the most hassle-free option. The frame stays in place, whilst the fabric is simply slotted in and out. This ensures the display looks taut rather than rippling, and when you have a new promotion, you simply replace the fabric. For façade banners, we use a tuck-in frame, which sits behind the banner and is not visible itself. Indoors, the banner can also be fitted into aluminium click-in profiles at the top and bottom, or secured with tensioners in an aluminium tubular frame. The fabric itself is usually 500-gram front-lit PVC, self-extinguishing to B1 standard in accordance with DIN 4102. If you are simply looking for the fabric on its own for a frame that is already in place, please see frontlit banner. If you’re looking for a fabric screen with a silicone cord to mount on a wall, then you’ve come to the right place at tendon cloths.
