The eco-score is our own assessment of the material’s environmental footprint, on a scale of 1 to 5. It says nothing about quality, and the material must be recycled under the right conditions. Several materials may be listed on this page. We list the material with the lowest environmental footprint, not an average.

Frequently asked questions about exhibition stand

What is the process for a trade fair stand project?

Step by step. First, we go through your stand layout, using the floor plan and the organiser’s specifications, and where necessary we visit the site to take measurements. We then draw up a proposal for the walls, counter, flooring and lighting, complete with a price quote. Only once this has been finalised will production begin in Lokeren, and on the agreed day our team will assemble it in the hall. There is no pre-designed version of this product in the ordering module, as no two stands are the same.

How much does a trade fair stand cost?

The price depends on the surface area, the number of walls, the sheet material, the finish and whether we carry out the installation. Please send us the floor plan of your pitch and tell us what you’d like on it, and we’ll work out the cost for you. This differs from our other products, where you calculate the price yourself based on a single unit.

Will you be setting up the stand in the exhibition hall as well?

Yes. Creafor has its own installation team and its own aerial work platform, and will come to the exhibition hall as agreed. We also deliver every weekday throughout Europe, so a trade fair across the border is no problem. Please arrange the set-up date as soon as you know it from the organiser, as these dates fill up quickly during the trade fair season.

Can I use the same stand again next year?

This is something you help to decide when choosing the materials. Forex is intended for standard durations, whilst Dibond and plexiglass are for longer durations. Those who return every year usually opt for a structure that remains in place and panels that can be changed, so that only the image is updated rather than the entire stand.

Can an exhibition stand be set up outdoors?

This page is about indoor use, and that is how it is listed in our specifications. Plywood is less moisture-resistant, and Forex is not listed in our specifications as a material suitable for outdoor use. Dibond and plexiglass are listed as suitable for outdoor use, so outdoor installation is an option, but in that case we will assess the structure and wind load separately.

What is the difference between a Zipper Wall and a Reboard wall?

These are components, not a stand. A Reboard wall or a Zipper wall provides you with a back wall, and that’s often all you need. If you opt for an exhibition stand, we’ll design and supply the whole thing: walls, counter, flooring, lighting and the structure, with a single point of contact for everything.

Do we need to provide the design ourselves?

You’re welcome to do so, but it’s not essential. Our design team will create the design based on a clear briefing. If you supply your own files, we’ll check them for format, outline paths and bleed. With an exhibition stand, an image often spans several panels, so this check is certainly not a superfluous step. It is rarely the printing that determines the lead time, but rather the approval process; so the sooner the design is finalised, the more time there is left for production and assembly.

Can we put everything we want in the hall?

Exhibition centres impose their own requirements, for example regarding building height, anchoring or the fire behaviour of stand materials. The fire rating of our sheet materials is not specified in our product data sheets. Please therefore request the regulations from the organiser and send them to us, so that we can take them into account in the design.

When should I start?

For a bespoke stand, allow several weeks between the briefing and the set-up, and allow even more time if any milling or painting is required. Please let us know the exhibition dates when you first make enquiries, so that we can plan accordingly.

What about the environmental aspect?

Forex, Dibond and Plexiglas score 1 to 2 out of 5, but will last for years if you reuse the display stand. Solidboard and Reboard score 5 out of 5 and can be recycled as waste paper. Which of the two is more cost-effective depends on how often you reuse the display stand.

Description Exhibition stand

Have you booked a stand and now need an exhibition stand that complies with the dimensions and regulations for that space? At Creafor, this is a bespoke process rather than a standard order: if required, we’ll visit the site to take measurements, draw up a proposal for walls, a counter, flooring and lighting, and our own team will assemble the whole thing on site. This way, you’ll receive a bespoke stand design rather than a package in three standard sizes. The choice of panel material depends mainly on how long you intend to use it: Forex for a one-off installation, Dibond or Plexiglas if the same panels need to last for several years. If you’re only looking for a back wall, then you’re best off with a zipper wall. If you’re only interested in the reception desk, have a look at desk with print.

Materials for Exhibition stand

Forex, Dibond or Plexiglas

Forex in thicknesses from 2 to 10 mm for panels intended for short-term use. Dibond in thicknesses from 2 to 4 mm and plexiglass in thicknesses from 3 to 10 mm for panels intended to last for years. These two materials are rated 5 out of 5 for rigidity in our product data sheets.

Or wood and lightweight panels

18 mm plywood, printed directly in white, for a wooden look. Or 10 or 13 mm Exalite and Gatorfoam: sturdy yet light enough to hang.

Also made entirely from cardboard

Anyone wishing to return the stand to the waste paper collection afterwards should look at the exhibition plan made from Reboard, with an Ecoscore of 5 out of 5.

How an assignment is carried out

  • Please provide the stand plan and the dimensions of your space
  • We draw up the plans and submit them for approval
  • Assembly in the hall on request, carried out by our own team

Good to know

  • For interiors, with the wall structure itself assessed on a project-by-project basis
  • Reuse the following year is possible with the stiffer panels
  • Check in advance what the hall’s regulations allow in terms of height and anchoring

Applications of Exhibition stand

  • a corner layout where visitors enter from two sides
  • a stand that you would like to set up again at the same trade fair next year
  • a trade fair where you display machinery or samples, and the wall serves mainly as a backdrop
  • a reception area with a desk where visitors check in and are given something
  • a product launch in a dedicated venue rather than in an exhibition hall
  • a temporary stand in a customer’s hall or showroom
  • a stand for which the organiser imposes requirements regarding height, construction or finish
