Ecological stickers

There is no definitive definition for this. For us, it refers to PVC-free materials, film that can be recycled as PET, paper and polyester textiles. The criterion that matters most to you will determine your choice, so please do let us know what is important to you.

We do not make that claim for this range. Moreover, biodegradable and compostable are two different things, and we only state this on paper if the material’s specification sheet explicitly mentions it. If you are looking for plant-based materials, you’d be better off looking at bioplastics.

According to the product sheet, PET film is suitable for outdoor use. The fabric sticker is intended for indoor use, for example as wall decoration or as a badge. Please let us know where the sticker will be placed, and we will choose the appropriate material accordingly.

That varies depending on the material. The product information sheet for the textile sticker states 5 years. For other materials, it depends on the surface and the level of exposure, so please ask us for the product information sheet before you make your choice.

That page addresses a single requirement, namely that the material contains no PVC. Here, you are taking a broader view, also considering the raw materials and recyclability. In practice, the two ranges overlap, as most eco-friendly materials are also PVC-free.

Yes. We laser-cut PVC-free materials fully automatically at high speed, so an unusual shape or a large print run is no problem. Ecosticker is available in both straight and shaped versions in the ordering module.

That figure comes from us. It is Creafor’s own scale of 1 to 5; it is not an official quality mark nor a recognised environmental label. We use it to compare materials with one another and are happy to explain, on request, how a score is arrived at.

Large stickers are easiest to apply when wet, so you can still make adjustments before pressing them down. Small stickers can be applied dry. If you’re unsure about a large wall sticker, please let us know in advance.

The Ecosticker is available directly via our ordering module, where you can specify the size and quantity yourself. For other materials, we will provide a bespoke quote.

No, and that’s a distinction that’s often confused. Paper goes in the paper recycling bin, plastic bottles in the plastic bottle bin, and polyester in the polyester bin. So they can be recycled in the correct stream, but they are not biodegradable in a compost heap. If your specifications state that an item is compostable, please make that clear in advance.
