Order machine stickers

You’ll be taken straight to the calculation module, where you can enter the size and quantity yourself and see the price straight away.

Orders are placed via printvis.be, our own ordering system. There, you can calculate the price based on your chosen size and quantity. You create your own design using the editor within the system, so you do not need to provide a print-ready file.

Frequently asked questions about machine stickers

Will the printing remain legible when the machine is cleaned?

That depends on the construction. With transparent polycarbonate, PVC or polypropylene film, we print on the inside and the adhesive layer is behind that, so the cleaning cloth only comes into contact with the film and never with the ink. When printing on the outside, we protect it with a varnish or laminate.

Can a machine sticker be displayed outdoors?

Yes, machine stickers are used both indoors and outdoors. For outdoor use, the type of film is particularly important: polymer vinyl lasts for five years, whilst cast vinyl lasts for seven years. Please let us know where the machine is located, and we’ll choose the appropriate film accordingly.

Can a cut-out be made for push-buttons?

Yes. We include cut-outs around push-buttons or displays in the cutting die, along with rounded corners or a free-form contour.

What about the heat?

Our material data sheets do not specify a temperature range, so we do not give a specific figure. Please let us know the temperature at which the sticker needs to function and exactly where on the appliance it will be applied, and we will work with you to find a film that can cope with those conditions.

What is the difference between this and tear-away vinyl?

A machine sticker is designed to stay in place and remain legible. Breakaway vinyl is specifically designed to tear as soon as someone pulls on it, whether used as a seal or as protection against theft.

How big can a sticker like that be?

The films come in sheets measuring up to 70 x 100 cm; this is the maximum size for a single sticker. We deal with larger areas by using multiple sections or a different type of film; we assess this on a case-by-case basis for each order.

Can I order machine stickers online straight away?

Machine stickers are not currently available as ready-made options in the ordering module, as the film, shape and finish vary from one machine to another. Please provide us with the design or the dimensions and the required quantity, and we will get back to you with a quote.

Does Creafor apply the stickers to the machines itself?

Not usually. Machine stickers are sent to your assembly site or to your customer, where they are applied. We manufacture them in Lokeren and ensure that the shape and cut-outs fit perfectly.

What is the minimum order quantity?

From a single item, although in mechanical engineering this usually involves a batch per type of machine. For larger runs, we switch to screen printing and the price per item falls.

What is the largest size?

70 by 100 cm in Lexan; the other films are cut to the width of the roll. A control panel is positioned well below that.

Can a sequential number be added to it?

That’s possible, but unique numbers or codes require a separate file for each sticker. Send us the sequence, and we’ll let you know how much it will cost to prepare them.

Description Machine stickers

Does a label need to remain legible on a piece of equipment years later? Creafor’s machine stickers are designed for equipment that has to withstand grease, water, cleaning agents and UV radiation: control panels, type plates, scales and safety instructions. The film is tailored to the specific application. A flat or slightly curved panel requires a different approach to a round housing, and where thorough cleaning is required, we print on the inside of a transparent polycarbonate film so that the ink is beneath the film rather than on top of it. We also include cut-outs for push-buttons in our designs. If you want your sticker to break into pieces when removed, please see break vinyl. If you’re looking for individual safety symbols, then you’ve come to the right place at pictogram stickers better.

Materials for Machine stickers

Printing on the inside

Transparent polycarbonate, PVC or polypropylene film with the print on the reverse side and the adhesive layer behind it. The ink is therefore sealed in and cannot be worn away by hands or cleaning cloths.

Lexan polycarbonate, 250 or 500 µm

In sheets up to 70 by 100 cm. Designed for a control panel that is touched every day.

Polymer or moulded vinyl

Polymer for flat and slightly curved surfaces; cast vinyl where the casing curves more sharply. Five or seven years, respectively.

Metallic or aluminium

Metallic polyester film and anodised aluminium in 0.5, 1 or 1.5 mm thicknesses, each with an adhesive layer.

What it can withstand

  • Fats, detergents, water and UV radiation
  • Cut-outs near push buttons
  • Rectangle, rounded corners or a free-form shape

Finish

  • Protective varnish in gloss, satin or matt, full-coverage or with cut-outs
  • Protective laminate for short- or long-term use
  • White, reflective coating, fluorescent or glow-in-the-dark

Applications of Machine stickers

What machine stickers are used for

  • a control panel where the push-buttons protrude through the sticker
  • a nameplate with a serial number on a device you build yourself
  • safety instructions on a machine that is cleaned daily
  • a label on a pump or motor that comes into contact with oil
  • scale markings and instructions on a measuring instrument
  • brand lettering on a unit that remains on the customer’s premises for years
  • a maintenance or inspection sticker on an outdoor installation
  • a logo on the housing of a machine that you supply as part of a series
