Creafor plexiglass panels

Expo panels

Panels for an exhibition or a museum, where the visitor stands right in front of the artwork.

An exhibition stand that needs to look smart and remain in place for several days.

You can hang them on a display wall, place them freely in the room, or let us install them for you.

The eco-score is our own assessment of the material’s environmental footprint, on a scale of 1 to 5. It says nothing about quality, and the material must be recycled under the right conditions. Several materials may be listed on this page. We list the material with the lowest environmental footprint, not an average.

Select your version. You’ll be taken straight to the calculation tool, where you can enter the size and quantity yourself and see the price straight away.

Orders are placed via printvis.be, our own ordering system. There, you can calculate the price based on your chosen size and quantity. You create your own design using the editor within the system, so you do not need to provide a print-ready file.

Frequently asked questions about expo panels

Can Expo panels also be hung outdoors?

This page is about installations within: an exhibition hall, a museum or a cultural centre. If the panel is to be displayed outdoors, the choice of material will be different and you are more likely to opt for Dibond or solid-core board. Please specify in your enquiry where the panels will be installed, and we will recommend the most suitable material.

How do I fix an exhibition panel in place?

This can be done using double-sided tape against a display wall, with drill holes of the diameter you specify, with spacers, or within a frame. If the panel is freestanding in the room, we will provide a plinth. We will discuss the mounting method before production begins, as this helps determine which panel you require.

Which album would you choose for a trade fair lasting a few days?

For a short-term installation, Forex is usually sufficient. If the series is to remain on display for longer or be used across several editions, Dibond and Plexiglas are more robust. Choose plywood for its aesthetic appeal, and Exalite or Gatorfoam when the panel needs to look thick but remain lightweight.

What is the difference between this and a photo panel?

A photo panel is usually an image that hangs on its own. An exhibition panel forms part of a series that together tells a story, featuring text, images and sometimes a milled shape. The printing technique is the same, but the construction and mounting differ.

Can I get a panel in a shape other than a rectangle?

Yes. We mill the sheet to the shape you provide, round off the corners and drill holes to the diameter you require. We can also cut out letters or silhouettes from the sheet.

Do you install the panels on site?

That’s possible. Creafor has its own installation team which works on site as agreed. For a stand, we come to set it up; for an exhibition, we hang the series as shown on the plan.

Can I use reflective or glow-in-the-dark materials?

Yes. As well as standard full-colour printing, there are reflective, fluorescent and phosphorescent films, mirror film, carbon film and sandblasted film with printing. These films are applied to a white or coloured panel and are particularly effective in a dimly lit area of the display.

What is the minimum number of panels I can order, and how much does it cost?

Expo panels are not listed in the ordering module, as the material, size, finish and mounting method vary from project to project. Please provide us with the dimensions, the quantity and the location where the panels will be installed, and we will provide you with a bespoke quote.

What is the largest size?

Up to 2050 by 4050 mm in Dibond and 2050 by 3050 mm in Forex. For a display wall that is wider than this, we use adjoining panels, with the joint resting on a profile.

Can I reuse the panels after the trade fair?

That depends on the material. Dibond and plexiglass can withstand repeated assembly and dismantling, whilst Forex is more prone to getting dented around the edges. If you’re planning to take the same display on the road for several years, choose the heavier material.

What about the environmental aspect?

Most of the boards here score 1 out of 5. If you wish to avoid PVC, solidboard is the option that scores 5 out of 5; see the materials page.

Description Expo panels

Are you looking for exhibition panels for an exhibition, a museum or a trade fair stand? In that case, your visitors will be standing right in front of them, often less than a metre away. What might go unnoticed on a façade sign will be immediately obvious here: a jarring transition, a colour that’s just not quite right, a blemish in a dark area. That’s why Creafor checks every file for size, outline and bleed before it goes to the printer. The type of panel used depends on how long the display will be in place and the weight your structure is designed to bear. If you’re dealing with individual images on a wall, without any text or frame around them, you’re better off with photo panels. If you are setting up a full stand, we will also take care of the exhibition stand myself.

Materials for Expo panels

Forex 2 to 10 mm

White or coloured, for temporary set-ups. Bright enough to set up and take down a stand.

Dibond 2, 3 or 4 mm

When the series remains on display for longer than a trade fair. It remains flat in large format, up to 2050 by 4050 mm, until 2050.

3, 5 or 10 mm Plexiglas

Transparent, white or coloured, for a glossy finish. The ideal choice when the panel itself is part of the design, rather than merely a backing.

Exalite or Gatorfoam, 10 or 13 mm

White, sturdy yet lightweight. The perfect compromise when Forex is too flimsy and Dibond is too heavy to hang up.

Also possible

  • Plywood 18 mm, printed directly with white ink, for indoor use
  • Films: reflective, fluorescent, phosphorescent, mirror film, carbon, sandblast film and translucent with a print
  • Additional protective laminate in matt, satin or gloss

Design and assembly

  • Rectangle, rounded corners or a milled shape
  • Drill holes to the required diameter
  • Frame, base, spacers or mounting system
