Frequently asked questions about adhesive-free stickers
Is there really no glue residue left behind?
That is exactly what these films are designed for. Penstick has no adhesive layer; Microtack adheres using suction cups; and Easy Dot uses small dots that peel off without leaving any residue. On a clean, smooth surface, the sticker comes off in one piece.
Do they stick to walls or wood as well?
Microtack and Easy Dot do, though – they stick to almost any surface, from walls to wood to glass, as long as the surface is clean and dust-free. Penstick doesn’t; that’s for glass and screens.
How long does a sticker like that last?
Allow for about a year, both indoors and outdoors. These films are designed for temporary use and for changing designs. If you need your sticker to last for years, you’re better off choosing a vinyl with a standard adhesive layer.
What is the difference compared to static stickers?
Not much. Static adhesion is one way of attaching items without glue, and it works on glass. This page shows the full range, including Microtack, Easy Dot and repositionable fabric, which also work on other surfaces.
Can I reuse the sticker?
They can be repositioned, so you can remove them and reapply them. If you plan to reuse a stand or exhibition wall at a later date, it is best to store the film flat and dust-free, as dust reduces its adhesive strength.
How can I avoid air bubbles when gluing?
With easy dot, there are small air channels between the adhesive dots, which prevents bubbles from forming. Penstick and microtack are best applied whilst wet; this reduces the risk of bubbles and allows you to make adjustments.
Is there a PVC-free version available?
An eco-friendly, PVC-free version of easy dot is available. The other films in this range are not.
Can I have individual letters or a logo instead of a rectangle?
Yes. We cut to shape, and we can plot, cut out and apply transfer film to text or logos, so that you can position them in the right place in a single step.
What is the largest size?
Limited to the width of the roll. With static film, it is also more difficult to lay it straight over a large area, so for a full shop window we prefer to use panels or Easy Dot.
What is the minimum order quantity?
From a certain point onwards.
Which of the four should I choose?
If it’s just for glass, use a penstick. If it needs to be attached to a smooth wall or wood, use Microtack or Easy Dot. For a display stand that might shift position whilst being set up, fabric is the most forgiving option.
Description Stickers without glue
The reason for choosing adhesive-free stickers is almost always the same: the graphic needs to be removed later, and the surface must remain undamaged. A rented office, a landlord’s shop window, an exhibition stand you have to return, a painted door. For these situations, we use films that are repositionable and leave no adhesive residue. Penstick adheres statically and only to glass. Microtack, commercially known as Yupo Tako or Yupo Jelly, adheres using microscopic suction cups and therefore also sticks to other surfaces. Easy Dot features small adhesive dots with air channels between them, which prevents air bubbles from forming. If your image is only to be displayed on a window, please see static stickers. If you want to ensure that the adhesive sets quickly and without air bubbles, then easy dot the easiest way.

Penstick, without an adhesive layer
White or transparent, adheres by static charge. Ideal for windows and screens, and therefore never leaves a mark.
Microtack, with suction cups
Also known as Yupo Tako or Yupo Jelly. It adheres to many more surfaces than just glass, using microscopic suction cups. The transparent version is crystal-clear.
Easy Dot, with adhesive dots
Small adhesive dots with tiny air channels between them. Adheres to almost all surfaces and prevents bubbles from forming. The eco-friendly version is PVC-free.
Repositionable fabric
White, intended for set-ups where the image is still shifting whilst being set up.
