Finishing is what happens once the printing is complete. It does not improve readability, but it does affect how it feels in the hand, which is precisely what it is intended to do.
Print finishing is the service itself: heat foil that creates a sheen ink cannot match, spot varnish applied to a single area so that it stands out against the matt finish around it, embossing that you can feel, and die-cutting into a specific shape.
Luxury printing The work to which these techniques are applied is produced on grey board and heavier papers ranging from 130 to 350 grams. On our own eco-scale of 1 to 5, the grey board scores 5.
What is possible depends on the material and the print run. Let us know what you have in mind and what type of paper or card you’d like to use, and we’ll assess which technique is best suited to your requirements and what is feasible for your print run.
